History
First Baptist Church has a long history of being a leader in the Pella Community. Founded in 1844, it was the first church organized in the area. Later it helped begin the organization of Central College. As membership grew the construction of the present building was completed in 1956. Major remodeling was done in 1991.
The First Baptist Church of Pella continues to carry on yesterday's vision and tomorrow's promise.
